Washed car and took some night time pics....
Drove it since there still hasn't been any snow fall
I remounted my cv's using mickey914's bolts with safety wire lock. Leveled the car on jack stand to fill up the transmission with fresh fluid. While I was there, I noticed that the nut on my alternator was missing and the belt was so loose. (I must have been dri ing like that for a long time). I also reattached the clutch cable .

Ed the aero is pretty stock now. Had bigger injectors reg and apc but now I just run standard and slight boost mod on APC. The injectors were needed in the 914
Everytime I feel overhelmed working on my teener I jump onto this thread and think it's not so bad. Thanks for the motovation

I've been crazy busy lately and the 914 had sat covered for way too long. It was a beautiful day in Calli and had the day off so I gave the car a complete wash and wax, then took it for a drive. Oh my gosh, it's amazing how you can forget so quickly how fun these cars are to drive. I had a ricer follow me on this frontage road on to the freeway...I was just waiting for him to make his move 
...I think my eagerness to accelerate hard through the 180 degree freeway entrance turn made him think twice about what he was following...showed my poker hand. Dang it. It's always fun to see some hot shot's face when a four banger hands him his lunch.

It's the other way around for me, Mark - I always got a kick when a VW with a 4-banger whooped the snot out of a V8. That's what got me into VWs to begin with back in the 60's (Iguana, Inch Pincher, Lightning Bug, etc.) hands him his lunch.
Took Betsy out for a drive before lunch. After lunch I am going to put the battery in Christine and take her for a drive. Then I will drive the Boxster over to where I have Delilah stored and take her for a drive too.

Tie rod ends today.
Took Christine out for the first time in about 3 months. Fired right up and ran great.
Yesterday took my brother and nephew for rides in the white car with the new 2056....so fun.
Then we pushed the yellow car in the new shop, put the black car in the garage with the white one.
Today start pulling the rotary out of the black car

Replaced the thermostat, then modified my Arm rest console to accommodate a sub woofer, cup holder and USB charger.
stuck some vinal on my top. then put on the top latches and interior piece. then found the latches i was suposed to put on! So instead of taking the pad off i switched out the latches with it in place. That was quite a trick
Finally got my car the last 3 miles to my new house. Time to start again.

Cute little brick rotor motors they are... Should slap a turbo rotary in!
Spent two-three days removing tar crap on interior floor, then did some under coating removal in the front wheel wells, finished off today removing the head lights, covers, eyeblows etc what a nightmare, everything was seized, corroded, screw heads stripping and popping off. 
One thing that was good manage to get them working, relays, motors, lights before I took them apart, but it was so seized up the motors had issues lifting the headlights up.

I fixed my DS and PS side door handles so I can get in the car again.
I installed a new 915 clutch on my 3.2 motor, but now I can't get the 916 trans to bolt up to it. Its a new install. It used to have a KEP clutch adapter kit with the 901 gear box. Here is a link to my new thread.

Took the rear brake pads off the black car, so I can roll it easier, need to push it down and put it in the shop.
Fixed the radio electrical in the white car, put some foam tape on the rear targa seal to stop the squeaking, now I need to order a new seal. Cleaned the car up for my drive to Sonoma tomorrow.

I detailed mine. Sprayed and polished the interior, poliished and waxed the exterior, sprayed and shined exterior rubber trim and bumpers and then just sat inside it for a while to admire it. It's just sitting pretty now, waiting for a new owner to buy her as she's up for sale:

I picked mine up at Original customs. Mark installed a new MC along with his custom brace to fix the flex issue.he also replaced my rear wheel bearings. I'm flat towing it home now. I'll take it for a drive tonight

This weekend I installed new flywheel, clutch and attached my 1986 916 trans to my 1984 Euro 3.2 motor. Next weekend I will start on the body work.Finally making progress!!

I took mine out of the garage, listened to a low battery try to start it, charged battery, put up Christmas lights, cleaned garage some, and put the SIX away. No RAIN Seattle is fun, huh?

As far as the door handles go, I was pleased to be able to convert one of my spare PS handles into a DS one.
Well I'm finally at the point where I can begin some of the engine pretests (next weekend). Just waiting on a cap & T to close off the PSP and I'll be ready to turn it over.

88 mph to reach 1.21 gigawatts to ignite this bad boy! Actually my buddy John bought it for me for Christmas. He thought it would be funny for me to use as a prop for when I DJ in clubs (my DJ name is FLuX, though it has nothing to do with Back to The Future). I was like, what the hell am I going to do with this? But then I thought it would be a novelty to get a second back pad and cut out the same dimensions out of foam in the middle and house this in between the seats just for a laugh. I found a place in the Columbus OH area that I think can help me. The fiberglass front air damn is too low on my flared car. I want to take it off. I still have the original metal spoiler. I am hoping they can flare it out a little on the ends to make it match the fender flairs. Perhaps a rubber strip along the bottom would provide some of the aerodynamics but not be so susceptible to hitting things. Anyone done this?

Got my 40 year old windshield replace today. Oh my God! Driving home I thought I was driving without a windshield! So Clear! Also replaced the windshield to dash rubber seal with rubber from 914Rubber!
Total cost was less than $300 which I thought was great considering how hard to find 914 windshields.

Drove the car hard....well at least until the drive belt on the MFI broke and I became stranded on the side of the road. It made my heart skip a beat when I heard a pop then the engine died. I thought oh crap what did I do. Much better when I discovered the broken belt. Glad to have AAA.
