Updated avatar, and if I can figure out the editor here... I'll add one more front shot and one of the day I picked it up.
Shots make hood look wavy, but that must be a reflection. It's actually quite straight.
early '74 2.0 - early gas tank and silver dot gauges. Originally Zambezi Green. PO painted it white sans sail panels. I actually like the color, but may replace the sail panels. At least he left the trim on for me.

Thanks. One of the ideas I have had, thinking it might get pinched on pretty tight on each end. Cant say it fits like a glove though. I was thinking of shaving down any raised areas on the original where it was cracked and that might help the fit.

Got back from my desert trip on Sunday night. The Westy needs a bath
Click to view attachmentI took delivery of a set of '99 MBZ CLK 320 wheels on Tuesday. I cleaned up one of them, filed down some curb rash and painted it with Rustoleum High Performance Wheel Paint (#248927 'Steel'), which is a silver metallic paint. Three more to go ...
Click to view attachmentI removed a paper clip that was sitting atop the front left tire on the 'BB' ... more than likely placed there by one of the local PD's 'meter maids'. I don't know why they keep screwing with my car ... it does need a bath, but it doesn't look

I'm on the fence with this one Mike. Make a better statement by adding a few rows of red led's. I can build you a circuit that would oscillate between both colors!

My research indicated that as long as they don't flash, it is not considered to mimic emergency vehicles.

we can also wire this to your LED controller. As you hit 5k rpm, the blue LED's in the deck led would melt to a red color

I have a simple idea and then Tim hits it out of the park. Along that line, we will be coming out with a set of deck lid letters thar contain RGB LEDs that Tim is working with us on tying into his system. A bit in the future but It looks promising

Bought a work table and bench grinder at Lowe's. Replaced the grinder wheels with a wire wheel and a polishing disc. Polished/ww'd the rusty lug nuts, they look great. Started with my polisher on the new/old set of 2.0 Fuchs, new tires tomorrow! These will have to be done professionally, at some point. Car is still at the shop, can't wait to drive a 914 (someday?) This is tough, sitting here with no car to fart around with, or, drive, for that matter! I dream of actually driving it.

I have two LE wheels in one corner of the garage and a Continental 165-15 tire in the other. The wheels I got some time ago at a junk yard and the tire has been hiding in the corner so long I forgot where and when I got it. I figure its decades old of course but looks brand new, never been on the ground.
So,... got up early and not ready to start rebuilding brakes, I hit Walmart to have the tire mounted just to have the fun of rolling it around the garage when its in the way of whatever project is going on. I remember those skinny tires and distinctive treads and wish they still made them.

Looks like the fitting to the left of the T fitting isn't seated all the way. There shouldn't be any threads exposed. You may want to check that before it comes apart and drains all the oil from the tank.
