Put Carerror on the scale. Thinking that she would be lucky to be sub 1700. When I got the scales hooked up the first numbers I read were sub 1550. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Till I looked at the car. Covers and fuel. So I got a laugh out of me...
Put the covers on and fuel in. 1609# and I am smiling.

Many reasons, I have a daughter that's 3 years old now...so I had to get the house ready (built a basement bathroom and refinished the whole basement, along with other stuff like a nursery/bedroom etc).
This past year I've been rapidy accumulating parts and sent the engine out for rebuild/case work (takes long when you don't pay the rush/convenience fees). Have most everything done/bought, just need to get it all together once the engine is done.

Using rear defroster switch for lights. iPhone pics are so bizarre. Post the first pic and in preview it is upside down. Go back to pic and invert it and repost and again appears upside down. WTF?

Couldn’t use the existing 2 holes in the bumper, too close to the grills, see version 1. Drilled pilot holes then used conical bits to finish the job. I made the brackets out of 1.5” aluminum flat stock cut and shaped with angle grinder. Getting the brackets powder coated satin black. Only bummer is at idle with a carbed 6 no matter how to tight everything is synched up, the lights have a slight vibration. At speed, shouldn’t be an issue

Cleaned my engine case some today, not perfect but getting there. A little more time on it and it will be ready for assembly. This was done by wet soda blasting the case and heads using pressure washer with attachment. I really need to build a box for doing this as it is a little on the messy side.
Did a little detailing on the block removing extra flashing from the casting process and softened some of the corners.

Been driving it for the past 2 weeks, trying to burn out that nasty, nasty old gas. Still farts and pops but it is getting better. I had some boom mat in the garage and put in on the roof last night, so much nicer than feeling like someone put a metal bucket over your head and beat it with a stick. Roof is a little heavier now LOL. I have a spare if I feel I need to be superlight speed racer
