Planned on working on my engine until we lost power last night, transformer across the street croaked and took out power for 10 houses.
I was machining a 911-RS emblem when it happened. Hopefully tonight when I get home transformer is fixed and I can continue the part. It looks like the brake worked for the Z axis since my endmill is not shattered.

More welding, grinding, fitting, grinding. At the same time we are painting the floor in shop fresh grey. Massaging metal. I used to see the guys at Orange County Choppers cut and weld. I am shit next to those guys. Then I started to try my hand at cut and weld. Picture of me in my welding set up.

I Installed a NRG slim quick disconnect on the car so I can easily change which steering wheel I want use. I had to buy 3 units to get what I wanted. I mounted the extra bases on the wall of my son's room with his other auto decor. The quick disconnects work off the wall as well. Current MoMo wheels are 350mm Prototipo ('79) 370mm misc ('91), and a 380mm LeMans (@'65). It is nice that the horn button clips off with the wheel and no wiring required when wheel is swapped.

We're not getting it as bad as the the midwest or the east coast, be we got about 4" of pounding rain here in the past two days, which is a a fair amount for us.

Wonderful day! Sir Jim came to my place to look at my 74 roller and drove his super beautiful perfect 914-6. Sir Jim told me to jump it to high rpm but nope i will not do that to his 100% restored expensive 914-6.
Thanks sir Jim! for letting me drove your white before and now your tangerine/orange/red.

Still more welding, grinding, fitting, grinding. I wish my welds where cleaner but I have a couple of grinders, One 8 inch one and a small one. Still not easy to put that grinder to the metal. The helps this job out in a huge way. Waiting for the over the top sway bar reinforcement to come in from Tangerine and Maddod.
For those that did not catch early posting on this car it is what looks like from every angle a no rust 74 body that I put Bard Maur super long reinforcements. I have pictures of this car when it was adopted 2 POs back and then repainted from Palm Springs.
I wanted this chassis super strong in case I went for a 600hp engine.
Anyway it goes on and on.

Also added a beverage holder using a sawed off bicycle water bottle cage and an L bracket I had around. Attached it to a 5mm seat bolt. Took 15 mins and it holds very securely.

This week I
Finished painting the reinforcement plates that I had welded in for the front sway bar.
Painted all of the sway bar parts
Fitted a new master cylinder and bled the brakes
Found some springs to use as throttle return springs and fitted those
Sorted the brake switch
Lost my gauge lights and indicators and wipers!
Received my new velocity stacks
Decided how I'm going to route my fuel lines up into the engine bay.

Replaced my fog light lens on my 914. The original ones were 45 years old, frosty, and pitted. I replaced them with European amber lens. The lens are glass and look like fine crystal. They were a pain in the ass to replace too. Got them from 914Rubber.com The end result is pretty neat. (I downloaded the picture correctly but it is sideways. If you click on the picture, it ups loads on another page and it correct! Gremlins!)
