This is a very original Two Owner vehicle; second owner for 36 Years (bought it when it was six months old). Originally bought at Chick Iverson Porsche in Newport Beach. The car has always lived its life in the Dana Point. Additionally the car has always been serviced by Jack Staggs of San Clemente (the Porsche 356 expert, same shop for 35 years).

The car has lived everyday of its life garaged. The body is pristine and has never been hit and wears a very period correct paint job done back in the late 80's or early 90's. The paint is a single stage, we think Glasurit like the factory paint. When you first look at the car you really think it is the original paint as it was a very high quality paint job. The paint is smooth like they came from the factory, with no orange peel. There is zero overspray anywhere and was obviously stripped and blocked and prepped very well as the paint still looks like new. It does have two dings on the hood and one in the rear trunk area that should be easy to dent master out. There are a couple of scratches on the car that are not obvious.

All body gaps are flawless as are all welds in the front end and trunk area. The paint in those areas is all original. There is ZERO rust anywhere on this vehicle and has NEVER had any rust. The "hell-hole" area below the battery tray area is unmarred in any way.

The car odometer reads 78K and stopped several years ago and possibly has another couple of hundred miles since then. It is doubtful the car has been driven more than 500 miles in the last fifteen to twenty years.

Mechanically the car runs very well. It starts on the first turn of the key and idles and drives out beautifully. The engine was gone through about 12 years ago. Jack did a valve job and put in the hydraulic lifters so that no valve adjustments are needed. The car does not appear to use oil or smoke. It has plenty of power. The five-speed transmission shifts well and the clutch works as it should. Over $1200 was spent recently replacing the brakes, lines, rotors and pads. The front tires are nearly new Nitto Performance tires, the rear tires are tired and will need replacing soon.

The interior is all original except for the seat inserts which were redone about ten years ago. The sides of the seat and surround parts and behind the seats are all the original material to the car. The passenger seat has two separation areas, but still look very presentable one this unique driver. The orginal carpets are in very good original condition. Door panels and Dash are nearly perfect. The original style seat inserts are available in a kit, but I must say the material on them now is very comfortable.

The Targa Top and Headliner is one of the nicest I have seen and is original to the car.

The car is equipped with the Fuchs 15" and are in fantastic shape with no flaws. They have not been polished up but will polish up brightly with some elbow grease. Personally I like them the way they are. Try to buy a nice set of these wheels. Get ready to spend well over $1000.

The original Owner's Manual with the stamps by Chick Iverson Porsche to the original owner are with the car. The Owner Manual pouch is also with the car.

This is probably as nice an original unmolested 914 as i have ever seen. Is it absolutely perfect? No, it is just a really really nice nice driver that you would be proud to show up with at any Porsche meet.

This car is exempt from Smog. It gets over 30 miles per gallon and with 16 gallons it can take you 500 miles on one fill up.

Please give me a call if you have any questions or would like to take it for a drive.
