This is my 1974 Porsche 914 2.0. I bought this car from it's previous owner several years ago. It's registration is currently up to date and it has 123,000 miles on it (the speedo reads 23,000, but it has rolled over). Though I love the car, I need to find it a new home as I am in need of a more practical car at this time in my life. When I bought it, the car was barely running, so I paid for several tune ups. Currently the car is running just fine with the exception of a choppy idle, which I assume to be the timing or perhaps the valves need adjusting. However, I do drive the car daily, I just would not suggest it be driven excessive distances until the idle issue is resolved. The yellow paint is in decent condition, though it appears to have originally be a lime green car. The body is also in fairly good condition, with the exception of a few small dents. The exhaust and heat exchangers were removed due to their poor condition, so I installed a header and performance exhaust system sold by a local Porsche specialist. I also replaced the worn down stock wheels with a lovely pair of Super Lites, the ride in the car is surprisingly smooth despite the stiff suspension. I also have replaced all the bushings in the shifter from front to rear, so the car shifts fairly well. There is some wear in first gear, which will grind if shifted into above 5 mph. I have been told this is a common place of wear for these cars. Aside from this, the car does need some cosmetic work. There is a area of rust in the rear of the trunk, as well as some around the battery tray area. The weather stripping in the cab should be replaced, as it will leak some water. There is a crack in the windshield and there is no rear view mirror. It will also need a new carpet kit, as I removed the disgusting one that was previously in the car. Finally there is no heater or radio.

All in all, this is a very sound car mechanically. I spent a large amount of money having most of the wiring harness replaced, so everything is working. However I do consider it to be a project or weekend cruiser due to the attention that needs to be made to the cosmetics of the car. That is why I am posting the car at $3000, despite the fact that I have invented far more into the car. I do believe this price to be fair, and I am relatively firm on it.

For any questions please call me at 4086059446 or shoot me an email. I am willing to answer anything you would like to know about the car and am open for you to come and take a look. Thanks. -Brendan

Note- I would like to state that I am not open to any trades, regardless of the potential value.
