Not sure where to post this so I will try it here. Admin if it is a problem please move to the correct spot. My question is my 914-6 has paperwork that shows it once belonged to Jon Lowe. Sorry for my ignorance but who is he? It seems to be a good thing to own a car that he once owned and I was wondering why?

Thanks.

Yeah, no... I do not own "that" car. I guess he has others. I am traveling but I will try to get the VIN# and get that on this site. In fact I have seen others on this site with Jon Lowe cars. I wonder how many 914-6's he has had? So his claim to fame is he has built a very very nice 914-6? Thanks for the link.

Here is a picture of the car (Michal Richard did the restoration on the car that he purchased from Jon Lowe) prior to Michal putting it together, and the next photo is in my garage when I moved the fuel pumps to the front. Again thanks for the leads.

I am going to sell the car so I can try to purchase my old 914-6 conversion back because I have a lot of memories in the old car and have a few ideas for mods that I would never do on an real 6.

Thanks,

You have the roller he had for sale at the same time.
He Is /was the GT -6 guy in the 90's researching /documenting and tracking down GT parts. All his info got transferred to Armando's GT site after Lowe sold everything he had related to Porsche.
Bob Gagnon and the Tangerine Scream was prior to that.

Thanks for the reply. Mr Richard did a great job on the car (lots of cool 914-6 GT stuff like exotic oil system, fiberglass lids w/balsa reinforcement, headlight motor delete, 2.5 twin plug, etc) fun car. Thanks again.

Jon was the PCA technical advisor for 914s back in the day, and did a great job on documenting and helping folks for their 914s.

I seem to remember that he went on to other interests, and sold all his 914 stuff.

I am so glad you posted the build threads. I "searched" for them but with no luck? Will be really good to have while I try to sell the car to show the quality of the build. Thanks again for posting them.

I just missed out on that car.

Jon got out of 914s (6s) all at once. I think he puts all his time into his Passion- Model Railroads

Thanks for the info and maybe everything will work out...
