I've been thinking about a buying a euro spec motor for one of my other cars ever since I hastily sold the one I had.

What shipping companies are people using for shipping engines/motors?

I figure this is on-topic since others may want to know for shipping Porsche engines.

Thanks,

FYI this is from Indiana to DC.

Being a commercial entity, I use our normal LTL carriers.

Strap it to a pallet, put a cardboard box over it, label it "Do Not Stack On Top" and away it goes.

Last time I shipped a vertical mill- freightquote.com
They line everything up.

Recently used UPS Freight - not the cheapest, but it was convenient for the seller and me, plus one day delivery on a 400 mile route.
