Hello 914 friends,

Who knows about this : CV Joint Nr. 10660598 for many VW,Audi and Seat car lines. I have seen this CV's mounted on 914 axles, 33 splines diamteter 94mm, holes on the right place, just the spring pin must be redrilled.

Look at http://www.daparto.de/Artikeldetails/c586a...categoryId/1190

The list below shows the cars which can use this spare part.

Maybe this is a new option for the no longer available 914 CV's, also the price is impressive. I made some pictures and try to add this later one.

If this realy fits without any restraints this can realy help.

Really that's the same.. I'm not sure! I gues BMP uses Type 1 CV's with lower angle 17° instead of 22(genuine 914). Also the price differs, the whole set 23€ = 21USD. Also the list of car's which can use this part does not include a type 1 car.

$21 is a great price. i'd be skeptical.

but you would be better off finding parts on your continent to avoid shipping.

Jim, It looks lik 914Gelb is in Vienna so this may work out to his advantage. The make listed is Audi but what model? All Audi's 1972-1978?

If the joint pictured is the one they sell for the Audi they look wide. I like that! I need a wider joint due to my engine setback.

That is a Mk1 Golf inner CV joint, we keep those in stock where I work... Will compare one tomorrow.

Have just stripped down my car and my drive shafts are sitting at work, as took them in to try and match up some suitable boots.

$21? Try $30 at today's exchange rate, and the freight would kill you.

Not if someone bought a container load. Besides, I'll probably be going to the UK this spring or summer. I'll bring some back!

Yes you are right I'm from Austria/Vienna. I'm a proud owner of two 914 car's. One 914-6 and a 2.0. At the moment the 6 is under construction. Two years ago I bought them from Germany. Now I rebuild all parts of the car by my own. At the end the car should look as it was after delivery. Now additions just a genuine 914-6. This car was just 2 times painted of coures rust is an issue. I already bought a lot of metal sheet directly from Restoration Design.

PS: I like this forum, a lot of good and interesting articles biggrin.gif

In Wien fällt gerade Schnee, es ist kalt und nicht vergleichbar mit Kalifornien sad.gif

Ya, but I did a NAPA search and they are 144.00 here. You probably get a better deal and maybe NAPA isn't the best low cost source.
