That really sucks, I guess at least he knows what happened to it. A little power wash and it should run fine. Wasn't yours was it?

Sad indeed. I hope it was fresh water and ver cold. Maybe it can be restored? It didn't appear to be smashed up or anything.

It must have a cage in it to be lifted like that. Strip it to the shell.

Damn . I sure hope he restores it again. Easily worth saving while it is a down to bare metal job to do. Looks to be a first rate 914-6 or conversion at the least. I sure feel for the guy

even if its not rusty, the sediment solidifies inside the cavities. I know for a fact that you can pack over 40 pounds of dry dirt just under the gas tank...we weighed it.
looks like a very nice 914/6 GT clone...bummer

A six ... not mine ... fresh water as it is a river.
Someone must of needed those bumpers really badly. Cmon guys, surely its better to buy bumper tops than to steal them!

I would say it is a HAPPY DAY for the owner of that car!! 7 years later he gets it back after probably getting paid by the insurance AND has been driving the replacement car for 7 years!
It was a sad day 7 years ago when it got stolen!

Man, i'm glad mine was found just half way across town after it was stolen, parked on the side of the road with only minor damage.
Can't imagine what watching them pull it out of a river must feel like ...

Not his car anymore as the insurance payed for the loss. The car is now owned by the insurance.

Covered in mud yet still, strangely.... still beautiful and the brown water flows out and the soul of the car takes it's first breath of fresh air after seven long cold years waiting silently in a foreign enviroment to return from the depths of desrepair.
Live little car live again I say..........

The floor pan looks too smooth, why headlights missing? Pass. window is smooshed.
was the top removed prior to hooking chains?
other than that a nice looking 914-6GT

I don't see any headlight missing... Those are new H4 from Hella and the glass is almost flat.
