Just reassembling my fuel tank and I think it might have previously been hooked up incorrectly. The fitting out of the bottom of the tank that has the gauze filter on the inside was hooked up to the return line. I would have thought the Gauze filter was there as a coarse filter on the way to the main filter and the return lkine came back unfiltered. Can anyone set me straight?

The large line has the sock on it. It is supply to the pump. It has a large hole to suck gas thru.

Return line is small, does not extend into the tank much and does not have a sock over it.
