Thought I'd toss this out there before we get into trying to fix this problem.

Customer's car (Don9146) has developed problems with turn signal/flasher relay circuit.

The turn signals do not work but the relay is clicking, and it heats up fast. If you turn on the emergency flasher switch it will blow the fuse on the first click of the relay.

The turn signal/flasher circuits did work properly up until a few months ago.

We have substituted a new relay, and a new turn signal switch. The wires in the steering column are not damaged or shorting out.

He's bringing the car back within the next couple weeks, just thought I'd see if anyone had this problem in the past, before we get into trying to trace down this anomoly.

Thanks in advance!

Perry,
it definitely sounds like a short somewhere.
I'd start at the TSs and work towards the fuse.

We've got a good autoelectric shop around here that chases shorts, etc...for cheap.
