So I've been trying to figure out what kind of wheel to run on my car and I'd like to stay with 8x18 and 10x18 but I need a deep offset front and rear for the wide body and get rid of the huge spacers but I really can't afford to call up BBS, HRE, or Fikse and order up a set for $5000 blink.gif
I love the outlaw wheels on the hot rod 356's which I think are aluminum 951 spares but they made similar steel ones for 928 and 944's. So I was looking at the spare steel 18x6 and 18x8.5 wheels that came in the VW Touraeg, Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7. They are 5x130 bolt pattern and could be widened to the deep offset I need. Maybe even pop on a set of chrome porsche hub caps biggrin.gif
I know they would be a little heavier than aluminum and I'm not sure about the hub center but I think it would make a pretty cool Porsche rim.
Or maybe I'm just screwy.gif

Thomas has a similar idea.

Break the mold. I think it's a very cool idea.

At least you don't have a 90hp 4 banger to worry about turning them. smile.gif
