I'm in the process of installing the aluminum thresholds with the plastic rivets. How do I go about pushing in the rivet shaft. They seem very fragile and want to bend over and break, instead of going in??

Give it a nice tap with a hammer, it'll go. BTDT works fine. beerchug.gif

PM Tod914 who used to sell the repro white & black plastic rivets.

IIRC he had an instruction link or pdf or something for installing the rockers & thresholds with them.

It may even be a topic on here somewhere?

Where did you find the rivets? I'm striking out! headbang.gif

I'd snap the pin off the rivet. Reinsert the pin upside down, then tap in down once you have it where you want it. Sometimes the pins will bend if you don't remove them first. Joe, if you purchased the rivets from me, one of the prongs might have to be carefully removed with an razor blade at the base of the head. Hope that helps.
