Amazing photos of the Porsche factory in 1972

How many of those 914s are sitting in member garages right now?

Well, considering that they all appear to be euro-market cars, probably not many laugh.gif

I noticed that, but you can't ever rule it out. There are a few euro market cars here, and we have some international members as well. Not all of us fly the stars and stripes flag.gif lol.

I remember reading that all of the 914s at the Porsche factory would be Sixes.
Trucked from Karmann to Porsche to have running gear installed.
Fours were completed by Karmann.
Sooo... they would probably be European 1972 914 6s.... a pretty unusual combo.

I think a Euro car would be cool to own & drive!
It would take some getting used to shifting with my left hand though....

Most of Europe is LHD, except for the UK. Also, there weren't any factory RHD 914's.

great link - thanks

it also shows us that "assembly line" is a concept far different than we think of in USA
