I am going to hone the jugs, but need to know what to use for honing oil.
Ha! You answered your own question with the thread title.
You have a clamping fixture for the cylinders, right? No? How are you going to make sure they're round when you get done? Better find a shop that does.

Buck honing oil is the easiest to find. With the knife sharpening stuff.
ATF works too
