I am ready to pull the trigger and change my transmission oil.

I went to Pelican Parts Spec page and they said to use 2.6 quarts of 90 weight oil.

I have been told that you fill until the oil until it reaches the fill hole.

I called three auto parts store in town before I found someone who had 90 weight oil. The other two had 80-90 weight and they said that was just as good.

Don't worry, I am staying away from synthetic transmission oil ! beerchug.gif

Any comments or suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Make sure you remove the fill plug before removing the drain plug. Plenty of folks have had an " oh shit " moment when they've removed the drain plug and all the fluid and can't get the fill plug out. Conventional 80w90 from local Flaps is fine.

Just did this last week for the first time. Not difficult. I found Valvoline 80-90 GL-4/GL-5 at Pep Boys. All the other places only had GL-5 from a variety of brands including Valvoline.
