I have an engine stand that I want to use for my 2.0 but it's not set up for it. I was told that they make an adapter for mounting VW engines that will work. Is this something a flaps would have or a VW shop?

Call your local VW shop they should have one, the VW ones are much cheaper but also alot flimsier than the ones designed for the six cyl

we welded the bench type stand on the regular stand just below the the eng mount It works fine and you dont need a bench. the lower height is nice for the lower center of gravity people.

I just had a little brainstorm of sorts...

I wonder if the T-nuts from a milling machine could be used to mate up with the engine case? Can any of you people with access to a case and a milling machine see if these would work? Would be SUPER cheap solution.
