This afternoon before taking a drive out to Rancho Cucamonga, I decide since it's a wonderful day and all, why not take the top off? So, that goes swell. I go to close the rear trunk and hear the normal moan, squeal and groan of the rusting hinges... and the rear trunk wont close. doubleyou-tee-eff??!! pray.gif

You can by a new hinge pivot (the part that's welded to the inner fenderwell in the engine compartment) at most parts places or at www.restoration-design.com

James Adams (JWest Engineering) also has a nice hinge. Look in the "parts and resources" forum

I have the exact same problem with mine. Here is how the PO decided to fix it. Yes, that's fiberglass! I'm looking at JWest engineering's solution.
