OK, here is a 914 that you can jump right in and drive right now!
This is a nearly complete restoration that has very little left to do.
It is a 1973 and the following work has been completed:
• Engine is low-miles rebuild utilizing the 1.7 cases, 96mm jugs and pistons coupled with the 71mm crankshaft to produce 2056 cc's. It has been set up with 40mm Weber carbs. Has a new Bosch Blue Coil, nice heat exchangers and a new aftermarket muffler assembly.
• All of the rust issues have been dealt with. The rear of the trunk has been replaced with brand new panels, longitudinal have been redone, front pan area is solid, floors are solid. Any rust behind rocker panels or on the firewall was removed and repaired along with the battery tray being replaced.
• All of the surface rust from the bottom of the car was removed and the entire chassis underneath has been undercoated, including the wheel wells. This alone was an $1800 expense.
• New paint using Porsche Speedway Green a GT3 OEM color with satin black hood and trunk lids.
• The transmission was fully rebuilt in about 2008. The car has been driven as a weekend fun driver, so it has not seen a lot of miles since teh transaxle rebuild.
• The seats are original design, but have been custom recovered with a material that emulates carbon fiber AND with the Porsche logo and name stitched/embroidered on the headrests.
• A Custom carpet kit and floor mats (as well as the firewall cover behind the seats) are all new and were done in the summer of 2011.
• The front-end suspension and the rear rotors are from an 87 Porsche Carrera S. The car also has real Fuchs 16 x 6 wheels as well with new tires and brake pads.
• The Targa top fits fine, the lights work and new turn signal assemblies have been installed a the front.
• The rubber rear bumper piece is in decent shape and the front lower lip and front bumper are fiberglass components.
• The car also comes with the front bumper grilles and the speaker covers. There is a radio/stereo installed but it needs new speakers installed.

I have a new EMPI distributor that should be installed to give a wider advance curve. This new distributor also has an integral CDI ignition module as well for a better/hotter spark and eliminates points too. New plugs were just installed as well as synchronization of the carbs.

• There are some areas that still need completion:
• There is some rubber that needs to be installed or replaced -- not a lot, but some
• The driver side door does not shut as I think it should, but a good body shop should be able to adjust the lockplate to allow it to work properly
• While it was not a Factory-delivered component, I would install a RHS mirror just to have better visibility.
• Needs a spare tire/wheel and the board that goes over it to finish the front trunk.
• Needs new holders for storing the top in the trunk

Receipts come with the car and total in the neighborhood of $15,000, not counting the cost of the car itself. Needless to say, you could not duplicate this car for the asking price.

Reasonable offers will be considered, no low-ballers please.

No Trades, no tattoos, email and I will respond to your questions.
