Eleven people showed up at the Deer Valley Airport for the breakfast/run. Several had cars under repair, so there were only four 914s. We had a good time and plans are under way for the next breakfast/run in November. After eating, there was a nice run up to Cave Creek, then to New River and back via Lake Pleasant. Check out the link for more photos.

In the backgournd: Gerard, Dave, Andy, Jack, Mike

SLITS
You guys didn't happen to have visited the "Satisfied Frog" for some of their barf.gif jalapeno beer did you?

Funny, New River is where I picked up the car on Saturday. If I could have only delayed it one day, but the AZ DMV was adamant about not opening on Sunday (and they weren't of any help anyway on Saturday - they don't tell you everything they want on the phone - you have to stand in line for an hour first).

Gonna try to make the Nov run and bring the teener (Yes, I will challenge 347 miles of desert with an air-cooled car).

Crossing the desert in a teener in November Slits: Child's play.

I picked up my '73 in Santa Barbara and drove it accross in June. Added an oil cooler, stocked up an ice chest with water and ice, no problems. Car probably did better than I did as it was about 110 for a high that day. As an afterthought, I am seriously looking at AC for one of my cars.

I must be getting old.
