When putting the case halves together I noticed that only 3 of the M10 case through bolts had the vibration dampers on them - now I have realised that all 6 should have had them. mad.gif
How important are the vibration dampers and could I just leave them out?

I figured this would have an answer by now Larss. Probably cause everyone is like me. I'm just not sure. They do work very good to keep the bolts in palce during assembly. Thats always reason enough for me to use them.

The explanation that I heard, was that they were meant to keep the length of bolt from vibrating and those vibrations causing the nuts to loosen, or the bolts to fatigue.

It makes sense, but it's not really definitive.

Taking it apart and cleaning everything is a PITA. But it's really not that hard. Take the time to backtrack.
