I think they used it to roast hot dogs at the factory.
It is actually out of Road & Track mag in about 1961. Found a copy at an old book store.

Yep, about 50K for a rebuild and 160hp...makes a big T4 or a Jakester engine sound like pretty good deal.

It is not often that these motors are available at any price. Years ago people used to trade parts, not sell them. You had to have something to trade. Not many people had the skills to even service them.
