Porsche 915 Transmission out of a '76 911S. Shifted smooth, ran quiet in all gears, did not pop out of gears, but leaked at seals when removed.

The transmission was noisy in neutral, clutch out. Inspection revealed damage to the mainshaft rear bearing inner race, very recent syncro rings, dogs, like new numbered matched gears (all), and a spinning outer race pinion shaft rear bearing (common weakness this trans).

NEW seals, gaskets, mainshaft rear bearing, new oversize pinion shaft rear bearing (with modified factory upgrade one-piece bearing retainer), new shim, idler shaft and throwout bearing shaft seals.

ALSO:

25 yrs exp with Porsche, BMW and VW, with extensive experience thru '77 most models.

Numerous engine, suspension and brake modifications and restorations completed on Porsche 356, early 911 (thru '77, BMW 2002, early (3.0) CS Coupes, VW Bug, Ghia, Type 3 and 914.

Have also completed engine restorations, to new factory tolerances. In Porsche's case, this was often times better than new as the factory constantly improved and retrofit models frequently.

Have welded on panels, clips, sunroof conversions, repaired collision and corrosion damage. I would be happy to send you photos of some of the work done.

Over the years have developed parts sources for OEM or quality aftermarket at reasonable prices. VERY reasonable rates.

Estimates available at my shop or your garage. Please email with information about the car, what you would like to have done, and phone #, will contact you ASAP.

Thank you for your interest.
