The idea was brought up in the middle of a couple of other threads. I thought I would start a new one and post the question formally.
Summers coming (well maybe somewhere)

I dont mind if we make it a contest. Problem is I dont have the time right now to "review" them. Can we wait until I'm done with the classifieds ??

Make it happen Tod/Rich.
Start a new thread with a poll. I just need some time to finish the classifieds.
I do have a non vendor willing to front the money for T-shirts and stickers until I start collecting/selling them.

Am I working alone here? C'mon, I know you guys can do better than this. What are you hiding Ya-Roon? Are you waiting for the prize to be announced?
Anyway, I was playing around at lunch and came up with a couple more. Please provide any comment, criticisms and suggestions.

I was actually thinking about something based on the current Miller Lite logo (on the bottles) Its circular and has nothing to do with the Porsche code of arms.

Paul, I really like the blue one. As for the beer one, it's cute and kinda funny, but the truth is it's all about the car!

Nice, I like it.
Just a few suggestions:
1. no "dot.com" it has negative connotations.
2. Could you make the color signal orange?

on the beer theme, use anything from the rogue brewery's line of tasty beverages. put something together with the dead guy ale theme! :gilloutine:

That's it! I'm on strike. I'm not submitting anything else until we see what Jon Watts has for us.
I've got a few more. I'm just waiting on Jon.
BTW, Brad. I could do something based on the Sierra Nevada logo (lord knows I've spent many a night looking at it) but we need to remember what we are trying to accomplish here.

Jeroen,
Have you used Blender ?? I dont mean to make drinks or cholocate shakes. Jon Watts should have a book of mine. Its a graphics program.

I vote for Jon's. Looks great, yet simple. much like our beloved car. And I like the slogan. Does the front bumper look *off* to anybody else??

Jan 22 2003, 01:13 PM
There we go! What else are you hiding Jon?
I agree with Jenny. The graphic is nice and simple. That's something we should keep in mind as we're choosing a logo. More colors increases the price of T shirt production.
I'm not too sure on the slogan, but what do I know?
Here is another simple two-color design.

There is a 914 drive in the Bay Area this weekend. I'd like to see an arial shot of a group of 914s parked to resemble a hand giving the finger. Could anything else be more appropriate?
Barring that I like what you have. I'm more of a catch-phrase person instead of the graphic artist I wish I were.
