Click to view attachmentFinally got the hand brake out of my project car, like everything else on or close to the floor its pretty rusty. But can someone confirm that where the brake cable attaches is supposed to be a ring. Its a "c" now as you can see in picture, looks like it pull out and have to fix that. Also appear to need a parking brake cable, the end is also very rusty.

Yeah, that open end on the bottom right should be a complete circle. Junk it and find another. It may be better for your health.

that ex hole houses a pin and circlip that connects to the cable called the Emergency Brake Equalizer Cable which has the Compensating Piece that connects to both of the ebrake cables.
