When I went to remove my pressure plate I would not get a socket on the head of some of the bolts. The flywheel was too close. I assumed that the bolt were supoded to be internal drive bolts.

All of the new bolts being sold (type IV store and 914 central) are selling hex head bolts.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Sears sells a single set of odd shaped wrenches that have open/semi-closed ends that look to fit in there. I already had 2 ground down sockets from past experience, but the Sears wrenches look kinda cool...

A 12 point deep socket has a thinner wall than your standard socket.

I just learned that when taking my rod bolts out.
A 14mm deep well will remove them, but a standard socket will not.
I now have a complete set of crafstman deep well sockets ;-)

But I have also:
