i wonder if those manifolds are for a type 4 into a beetle conversion? so the the carbs will clear the decklid?

Dunno how tall but the ones in your picture are very *short* ...
or for a type 3, 411, 412...so the interior engine lid will close. cb talls are approx 7"+-.
