Wish I were surprised -- Fox has switched from live coverage of the world's most prestigious endurance race to what? A NASCAR test day. Seriously Fox? Oh right, for a moment I thought it was about sport, not extracting maximum domestic advertising dollars...

No kidding...everytime I check, it's something about NASCAR. WTF?
Was that the same Toyota that took out the Deltawing?

No, it was the Davidson Toyota that crashed with the Ferrari. Nakajima ran into the Deltawing later.

Overall, the camera work and coverage has been cool. I usually find televised motorsports lacking. Not so, this.

I've enjoyed the coverage so far, it's given me a good excuse to sit inside and watch instead of doing a lot of chores outside on a hot day!

Dont know about you guys, but I was pleased to see the delta wing knocked out.. call me anti-progressive, but it's an idiotic concept, and the fact the anyone backed the program was beyond me...

I dunno, the delta was interesting... to say the least. The two hours I got to watch was eventful. I turned it on to see the bog crash and then the crash with the Delta wing as well. Wish I could have watched more but I couldn't find the coverage There was pleanty of NASCAR though .
Anyway, that track and race is crazy. I'm glad they have run these for so long as they really are some of the best racing there is.

I thought the Delta was an interesting Idea and the concept intrigues me. The standings show that it was performing 3:45 laps with only a 1.6L turbo engine that is available in one of the production cars. It's overall weight was under a 1000 lbs. I would have liked to see it finish although I wouldn't necessarily like to see it win. Just would have liked to see how far it would have gotten compared to the bigger cars. The guy who took it out was an idiot as he did not have the turn his bigger Toyota just nudged the Delta right off the track without any damage to his car.
It's no surprise the Audi's won. I think they are using Porsche technology in those stored energy fly wheels.

Audi claims that their flywheel tech is independently developed, and was not influenced by Porsche's work.
Dunno if it's true, but that's what they claim. (Then again, they just about have to claim that don't they?)
