Just curious what the average time it takes for the oil pressure gauge to kick a reading upon startup. I recently changed oil and I may be imagining it but it seems to be slightly longer for the gauge to pickup the pressure reading now. It's a VDO
oil pressure gauge in the console; not the one that reads in bars.
What is everyone usually seeing on startup? Thanks!

Ok, that's about what I think mine used to do; now it takes a few seconds for it to go up. It just seems to lag a bit. It does come up fairly quickly then but I wonder if I buggered something up when I was cleaning earlier? blink.gif

Pretty much as soon as the engine is running after start up. Mine goes to 60-65psi when cold with Brad Penn 20/50.

I'm running 10w40 Brad Penn oil. My gauge takes about 5 seconds to come up to
pressure....
I didn't do anything differently when I changed the oil and it sounds like it always
does when I start it. I checked the wires on the sender and they look ok; I didn't
change or move anything on the engine. Would the hose between the sender and
the crankcase be suspect? I'm not sure where to start here....
Ideas?
