So I finally have the right side of the car repaired with panels welded in.

I ordered a new panel from restoration design that meets up with the engine, as well as a new battery tray. It looks like from the factory those are spot welded.

Is everyone spot welding them, or completely welding?

Spot weld it and move on.

Don't waste too much time on it. Plus it will make it easier to remove if you need to. I only tacked mine in with 4-5 and it holds fine.
