So my '75 has been down for some time now. I dug into it and found more rust that I was expecting. I'd been budgeting for replacement sheet metal and looking to get a hand from a couple of friends handy with welders up here.

While accidentally searching Craigslist for 914 content, I found a guy selling a 70 - 914, engine maybe suitable as a core, for cheap. I went and looked, and the battery try and shelf look like toast, but no rust in the long. (I went pretty hard with a screw driver after asking, plus I can reach down through the battery tray.) The firewall seems to be sound. Was previously converted to a side shift and the interior has been redone.

So it's coming home this weekend and I'll start moving my stuff over to it to make it go, then drive it to a friends for the welding.

Need to look and see what I need to do on the relay board, if anything, to drop in the L-Jet. (The D-Jet stuff will go up for sale once I have it, believe it's complete, but car was parked for engine issues)

Also may try to sale the 75 too. Have too many cars, and not enough space.. Looks like it needs about $600+ in sheet metal. (cleaning the garage is top priority this weekend).

Will add the VIN later - has not previously been recorded here.
