For Sale: 1975 Porsche 914 1.8L. VIN# 4752911171 built on 8/75. Over 122,000 914s produced, Only 6,512 1975 1.8 litre cars produced.
Original engine, engine number EC045076, Chassis # 3349019, Original transmission, transmission # HA22014, original Bosch L-Jet fuel injection.

Car was purchased new from Art Bunker Porsche Audi in Overland, KS on September 25, 1975 by Edward Lange.

Car is Malaga Red (paint code L30C) with original white interior (cream colored), oatmeal colored carpeting. Appearance group-Clock, Volt and Oil Temp gauges with original Mahle wheels. Factory fog lights and factory sway-bars. Spare tire is a Mahle wheel with the original factory installed Michelin tire. Original owner had the dealer installed air conditioning, which has since been removed from the car. Sold with original owner's manual. Car has had 4 owners including me.
Comes with original dealer brochure for the 914 1975 model year.

Battery tray is in very good condition and has been cleaned, primed and painted. Longitudinals have been fixed or replaced as needed with no body sag. Area underneath battery is in excellent condition.
Rust-found in the bottom corner of each front fender by the doorjamb (see pictures below).

118,100 original miles.

New parts intalled/work completed (over $4,100.00 in new parts and maintenance in less than 1 year, receipts are in chronological order in a 3 ring binder):
• New Hirschman antenna installed.
• Engine grille PORSCHE letters replaced.
• Rear window/windshield seal kits installed.
• New jack plug covers.
• Alloy center caps (missing in the photos), lug nuts polished.
• PRESS stickers for seat belts (believe it or not a minor and expensive touch!).
• Front trunk carpet kit installed.
• Headlight relay and turn signal relay replaced.
• Optima 34R battery and new negative terminal ground strap (original)nBattery clamp bolt not shown in picutre but is attached.
• License plate housing light replaced.
• Vacuum lines replaced.
• Filler neck and oil cap gaskets replaced.
• Tool kit (was missing).
• New speedometer cable purchased and installed August 2012.
• Leather covered steering wheel recovered by Automobile Atlanta.
• Replaced faulty reverse light switch.
• Replaced interior light and fixed/cleaned door contacts.
• New turn signal lenses in front
• Replaced low fuel warning light cover (was faded).
• Installed new fuel pump.
• Removed, cleaned, lubricated driver and passenger side door locks.
• Installed correct 1975 Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette stereo deck (cassette adaptor to iPod is readily available) and original Blaupunkt speakers.
• New front brake rotors.
• Left front caliper replaced.
• New front brake pads.
• Rear brake pads and seals.
• New #3 piston fuel injector and fuel line replaced.
• Valve adjustment completed.
• New O-rings on oil push rod tubes.
• New ignition switch.
• New clutch cable installed July 2012.
• Oil change completed in June 2012 with 40w oil (dino).
• Transmission oil changed with 75W-90 (non-synthetic).
• New air filter.
All 4 injectors replaced with newly rebuilt injectors from GB.
• New factory correct valet key and driver keys obtained and cut.
• New/old factory fuel tank replaced, new braided fuel lines, correct fasteners and fuel filter replaced under gas tank.
• Clock restored by Palo Alto Speedometer.
• Seats are recovered in factory correct cream colored vinyl from Automobile Atlanta.
• New heater tubes from engine to longs replaced.
• 1st gear and synchro replaced.
• Engine was removed, degreased, parts removed, degreased, cleaned/replaced/repainted and re-installed-see the before and after pictures.
Battery tray and areas under the battery tray were touched up with primer and paint, otherwise in good condition. New engine bay seals installed.

If you are ready to buy and want to negotiate price, it's probably a good idea to contact the seller and talk directly with them.

This is a great looking and great running 914. There are no engine or electrical issues to sort through-just pay and drive away!

$7,000.00 or best reasonable offer considered. Mileage is now 119,400 and is used as a daily driver. The car runs great. The engine is very tight, shifting is very smooth and is fun to drive on long and short trips. It is always a head turner!
