Got my 73 up and running but I think she is trying to send me a message. When I turn the key on the big top red light on the dash starts blinking.

Blinkers work, hazards works, buzzar works but it just blinks away.

Any ideas?

Is your parking brake on?

It's your parking/Emergency brake warning light. If the E-brake is not on, then the switch is sticking or bad.

Push the e-brake button. Then kind of wiggle the e-brake down into its resting place.
If that doesn't do it. Like Tom said the button is stuck in the down position.
Pull up the handle and you'll see the button holder. Be gentle with it. The screw is probably rusted in the hole. So be prepared for it to break off.
It'a pretty chessey switch.

Could also be the reset button on the master cylinder

or a spade came l;oose and is grounding out; completing the circuit.
