Ran a newly installed spare engine with better compression today at the autox.

Now there is oil leaking out of the push rod tubes. I assume being that the engine sat for who knows how long the seals may have gone bad.

Are there reccomended seals to buy? one brand better than another?
Do they just get assembled dry or is there a sealent used with them?

Viton seals, lots of different installation methods and sealers.
BajaXJ92
Viton seals ONLY.

DO NOT use RTV with pushrod tube seals.

Lube them lightly with oil and twist the side to side to make sure they seat correctly and do not pinch to avoid leaks.
