I think the copper work hardens...
from all of the vibration

usually when copper tubing is used (in a house) it is stationary and not subject to the vibration of a moving vehicle.

I would like to give you as much support as possible! I'll see if I can work on the poster and perhaps T-shirt too in my spare time.

So, I sent out over 100 pm invites to people in OK, AR, KS, MO, and DFW/East Texas that I could find in my 4hrs + of digging through the site.

Now, if you did not get one, that does not mean I'm deliberately snubbing you or anything else. You are still most welcome to come and show up.

Excited for this! Its a long drive, but it will be worth it. Anyone up for carpooling from the Michiana/Chicago area?

Anyone coming from far away should try and plan a trip across Talimena Drive, either on your way in, or out. It's fairly close and has been the subject of a previous MUSR or two (which explains why it's *not* on the agenda for the official MUSR this year)

Personally I won't know for awhile whether I can make this one. Fall is horrendously busy for me. :*(
MBowman325
I'll be a tentative yes for this.

Carie,

I will donate a rebuilt pedal set. I found it best to sent it direct to the winner.

The winner from the last MUSR just contacted me to cash in on the pedal set he won.

I ask for a core pedal set returned.

I will be bringing my kits and some hardware to MUSR.

The Terms will be Cash and PayPal.

Oklahoman's are restricted to Cash Only and everyone else can choose how they pay.

The best thing to do would be to browse my website at your leisure and write down what you want and the material you want it in. Yes, the 911 & 356 kits count too! Email me the list or PM it to me. I will set aside those kits and bring them to MUSR with your name on them.

Last day to cancel or modify what you want is Oct. 1st.

I have a question.

Do you say MUSR by saying each letter out loud?

As in " M - U - S - R"?

Or do you treat it as an acronym and pronounce it as it reads?

As in "Musser"?

Or what aboot "Mooser"?

confused24.gif

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask such a question, but I have just been wondering that.

Okay thanks.

In my 4 times to attend so far, M-U-S-R is the most common to hear I believe. I have heard the term Moo-Sir also uttered.....

It's either M - U - S - R or Musser-
It's definetly not Mosser!

Okay! smile.gif Now we are getting somewhere. Thanks to Ken and Thom.

So really it seems that the consensus is that no one wants to have to go through the laborious process of pronouncing each letter individually. It could be quite tiring, especially at the event itself or discussing it at a later date. We need to streamline things, and, if you terrific MUSRs don't mind my assistance this is a bit of a specialty of mine. After penguins and Bugs that is.

So M-U-S-R is a definite NO. No one shall refer to this event henceforth in such a manner. smile.gif Well decided folks. thumb3d.gif

Mosser is also a NO. That being with a short "o" sound.

Soooo, it is down to MUSR pronounced Mooooser. Which I quite like. smile.gif

Orrrrr, MUSR, pronounces Musser. Which actually is a word already, applied to Grandmothers or Aunts who, when seeing you for the first time in a long time tend to "muss up" your hair in a friendly, loving manner.

Hmmm, this second pronunciation has it's own built in depth and effect, how great is that!

I guess it really should be up to the attendees.

Don't devote too much time to it.

But it should probably be brought up as dinner conversation at some point this weekend in each of your homes.

It has traditionally been pronounced with each letter individually. M U S R

Um, are you sure it wasn't MUU ZER ??
balljoint
Oh boy, I don't mean to make trouble here. There really should be some kind of consensus though. unsure.gif I assume that no one listens to Clay, Betty probably says Moo Ser or Musser. What's it to be then?

Really there is an opportunity for you folks here. To have an event with a proper acronym. Not like the WCR "Wicker!?!" how lame is that? Or RRC? Erc just salivates over that one. And let's not get started on the ECC! That is no way to name a meal!

No the Musser, or the Moo Ser has the chance to have a proper name. This is great!
TheCabinetmaker
Jeez, who let you out of the sand box?
