I would like to get you guy's opinion on if I can use VW Bus 2 liter pistons and cylinders on my 74 914 2.0 fuel Injected engine using the Porsche 2.0 heads.

They'll work but with less power as they will give a lower compression ratio. The pistons are dished even more than the late 914 pistons.

Physically they fit. Performance will suffer.

You don't want to use them.
The dish in their head reduces the compression, even more that in the bus. The bus head has smaller combustion chamber than the 2.0L Porsche heads so the compression will be way too low.

If you want a nice set of Porsche German 2.0L pistons, PM me. I have a nice set that I'm willing to sell for a reasonable price.

Or get some 96's.

They work fine. Except it'll run like a bus, which is not much fun.

Are the bus cylinders the same as ours? Maybe you should stroke the crank and trim the piston tops and make em flat....
