Was getting frustrated by a wandering idle. Finally adjusted the tps correctly - acted better, but not perfect. Decided to go ahead and replace all of the vacuum lines - now she idles steady at 900rpm. Love the fixes that are that easy and have such a great result. Those old cloth covered vacuum hoses can be deceiving, too. Looks fine on the outside when everything inside is cracked up rubber.

When our daughter was driving her 1974 2L car 7 days a week, doing auto-x and driver ed events, I used to pull the lines yearly and cut off about an inch each end. I made them too long in the beginning which looked a bit weird but over the years this save a headache for sure!
