That is the power steering!

Hahahahahaha! The hole is really for the key on a 6 cylinder model. But I like the creativity of the other answer.

Where is Mesquite Nevada?

1 hour north of Vegas on the Utah state line.

I sent the seller an e-mail and asked for more photos.

Did you check out the other 'valuable classic cars' he is selling?

Nope. . . too small, wrong shape for a -6 ignition dash.

My 70 has the same hole....I have no idea what it is for either, but power steering sounds good to me too. biggrin.gif

No, you guys read it wrong. He said:

"Look this is a very fun classic 914 Porsche 2S, 2doors s straight 4, power steering radio,"

This is the Porsche 914 2S model. It received the "S" designation because is was equipt with a prototype straight 4 cyl. engine, as opposed to an opposed 4 huh.gif , and had the highly sought after power steering radio that automatically changed stations when a disco song came on (also works on crap mus...I mean rap music). This car is so rare that none where actually built! cool_shades.gif
