Apparently where Johannes comes from all 914s can spin 2 12inch slicks for 50-60 feet in 2nd gear start.

Since you can't see the road surface at that point my guess would be dirt or gravel on the road. In the video you can see his front brakes locking up and he loses the ability to steer.
Lorenzo could've lost it at that point for a number of reasons (lost it myself like that a number of times), carrying too much speed into the corner and couldn't scrub it off due to conditions (dust, dirt, oil on road), bad call on the notes, late call on the notes, or maybe he's just a crap driver..... nah!! scrub that last one
