i got a quick brake question. stock 914-4....

im going to adjust my rear brakes. on the inside adjuster, there is an aluminum cap with a copper sealing washer. i assume the copper washer is to keep brake fluid from leaking out. now is the cap part of the circuit? if i remove the cap to adjust the inside pad do i have to re-bleed the rear calipers?
