I’ve never had a problem walking into a quality auto parts store and buying them.

That's because you live where all the old air cooled VWs have gone to die. Other places don't have auto parts stores that have EVER carried ceramic European style fuses.

Got them at both, autozone and pepboys

I've never had any problems finding fuses. Flaps, any vw shop, or Porsche repair shop. Lots of places online.

Amen Cap'n. 20 years ago here in the Northeast you could get them at any local FLAPS along with all the miscellaneous wear items. Now, not a friggin' chance. The last bunch of fuses I picked up came from an auto parts store in southern California when I flew out for business.

you can buy a big ass pack of em from ebay for like 6 bucks.

Seattle Washington, Portland Oregon, even Santa Rosa California, no problems, over the counter stuff. I picked up a couple in Oregon City, but olde VWs don’t go there to die, olde four wheel drives go there to be dismantled and rust. Like the Beach Boys, “I get around”

They're still plentiful here in So Cal too, but I'd better check my stock. I'm only planning on upgrading [to the Engman fuse panel] in one of the cars.

I found them at Pep Boys! Thanks Fellas!
