Is there a formula of distance per turn? Like...2 complete 360's = 1" drop?? thanks for letting me add this ?.
mittelmotor
Yep, CCW to lower with an 11-mm wrench or socket. Helps to have the weight off the wheels when doing this.

Ratio? Not exact, but I'd say about 1/2" drop for every two complete turns.

Thanks for info guys. I went 2 turns and the car looks much better. It looked nose high before. Now its level with the floor.

Now, before you drive it any significant distance, you'll have to have it aligned. Notice I said "NOW"? That's because you'll eat up your front tires in a couple of hundred miles, more or less, if you don't.

The tires are from 2005 with ~5K on them so if I wear them out before winter it will be ok. Will do full alignment after some needed rust repair. Thanks

I used an 8mm allen wrench.

Some have "innies", some have "outies". wink.gif

I like outies best... Innies always get wallowed out.
Andyrew
I always just jack the car up a little bit, reach under, and turn the bolt by hand smile.gif

It's alot easier to just let some air oot of the tires to level it confused24.gif

It's probably gonna drive like crap. You'll have tons of toe out.
tod914
Is that the torsion bar adjustment?
Dave_Darling
Yes, it is.

Thanks Dave, I was always curious on how to do that.

Hmmm [I think to myself] I thought there were more dirty minds around here. Good thing no one's giving that one too much thought.
