For Sale: Garage Find 911S
Recently discovered 1977 911S sunroof coupe garage find.
Car has been in dry indoor storage since 1997.
Apparently previous owner started restoration, stopped part way thru.
Originally a California car, galvanized body so no rust anywhere
except slight surface rust on the battery tray.
When car was parked, engine and tranny removed, exhaust, fan, and CIS
removed from engine, so it is currently in long block form. All the
parts appear to be present. According to receipts, engine has about 3k miles
since a rebuild was performed at 162k miles. Odometer shows 165k, believed
to be correct.
Windows removed, full repaint in gloss black, new window seals on front
and rear, black headliner installed. All interior panels and seats recovered
in black vinyl, never installed. Original black carpet removed but included
with car. Paint is very good, a few nicks and chips from storage, need these
touched up and final buffing on a few areas. Car has not been on the road
since it was repainted. Nice dash, not warped or cracked.
This car has 4 fuchs wheels, power windows, originally had A/C. Evaporator
and fan still inside the smugglers box.
This will be an easy car to finish for the street, or use a a base for a
long hood conversion or a track car. Galvanized , rust free body, classic
911 looks. No interest in international sale or shipment.
Need to sell, have college tuition payment looming soon.
