This part of the car was disassembled when I got it.

Does anyone know where this vacuum small hose connects?
(the one beside the 12mm hose...the 3.5 mm hose?)

The over flow catch can has a small nipple on it that connects to ths vapor canester. That small line is below the gas caqp around on the other side.I'm not home or I'd post a picture. Gordon

Is this supposed to have a tee and then go somewhere else?

Does anyone have a picture of this?

This is weird. I just checked my stock 73 and it does not have a small vacuum port on the driver's side of the canister like yours. If not needed, you can just cap it. Maybe someone else can help?

Anyone have a 73 2.0L with vacuum hose on it? Any pictures out there? thanks

This will explain how the simple system works, from the 1973 emissions manual. The small hose siphons fuel vapors off the expansion tank.
