I have to get rid of my 914 now that I bought a GTI a little out of my price range and dipped into my savings... I am open to interesting trades and I am also looking for a towing vehicle to tow an SCCA race car so I would be open to partial trades. I started a few months ago asking $19,500 for my car but slowly I have come down to $16,900 OBO but please don't waste my time with low balls... this car is worth what I am asking for it and if the market was better then I would be asking a good bit more...
A little history of the car:
In the 80's a friend of ours built this car. He loved it and took it to PCA events where he shocked people with this car. After a while he realized he wanted to build another car so he took a 944 and started the process of building a track car again while selling the one he had. The car was sold to a vet in my hometown to soon after buying the car was diagnosed with cancer. That along with his hobby of riding horses took up most of his time so he let the car sit. So thats when I came in. At the time I was looking for something like this to take to the track and have a good time with my dad. So we bought it and had to do some engine work. We rebuilt the top end and did a few other things (I can get a more detailed list of what we did). By the time the car was finished and track ready I was wanting to get into SCCA racing and start competing so a few months ago my father and I got back his old race car and I am hopefully going to be doing regionals very soon. I just cannot afford the tires, and maintenance of a porsche (or VW i guess

The bad
The car has 2 or 3 small rust bubbles in the paint. However they can be fixed very easily and aren't very noticeable at all. Just ask for pics if you want. Also the street tires are fine however the track tires are shot.
