Don't buy the Super HPI as there are not enough bodies. If you go with a standard 1/10 scale chassis, there are tons of styles to choose from. Unfortunetly the 914 bodies we're getting won't fit a nitro chassis. I'll really need to do some tuning on the electric to get it up to speed.

Here is my current collection of RC cars. The smallest is a GT-3. Should be adding a couple of 914's to the collection one of these days...

Being the RC Expert I am, (I was a moderator for that site), It really depends on...
1: the car you want to get (electric or gas, scale size)
2: what other bodies you want in the future
3: what you want to do with the RC car (race or play or display)
I'd recommend electric for simplicity and it's cleaner and quiter. the neighbors don't like loud 2 stroke engines that sound like killer bees.
You definately will find yourself spending anything from $200-$250 for a complete electric car setup to over $600 depending on the car you get.

Ya know...
1/10 scale cars are pretty neat. Nitro power ads a bit of coolness to the mix. But this is what I want....
