I've been researching the Kit Carlson EMS, and i got some TB questions.

Will a particular Jenvey TB work with the 3 bolt, 2L head ? part # ?

How well would morphinspectra's rain hats work in a TB application ?

Would one run air cleaners on a street/track car ?

rain hats are undrilled. drill to your hole pattern cool.gif

I run their stuff alot. You ned the TBs that allow the use of an IDF manifold, then you need the correct manifold for your heads.

I am running their TBS on my 3.0 in 52mm flavor- They have nice stuff.

yea, the TF Series. but they have a four bolt configuration to mount to the head...

what about the 3 bolt, 2L head ?
lapuwali
You don't both them directly to the head. You bolt them to a carb manifold, in this case an IDF carb manifold. The IDF manifolds for the T4 are available from everyone that sells carb kits, often in a form that cam be used on 3 or 4 bolt heads (five mounting holes).

"aaaahh, i see", said the blind man. cool.gif

forgot about them smoke.gif

You really should wait till I get the complete kits together with everything you'll need... It will be cheaper and easier that way.

I plan on offering some Jenvey Throttle bodies with some of the kits based on Dave's electronics.

Your engine would look like this. Those are Jenvey TBS in 45mm flavor...See how the TB bolts to the manifold?

Ive heard of Jenveys for years,

Are they more economical than TWM? The make the 3 bbl throttle bodies I need and the 2 bbl weber clones also..

I never really approached them becsue of the hassels with importing...
Jake Raby
I'm a dealer for them here in the US. Importing isn't that bad, just that the dollar is so damn weak!

Jake that stuff on your site is sooo coool! aktion035.gif Man that's cool!
Jake Raby
Thanks dude!
crash914
Yea! Jakes da man....

I wish I knew that you were a dealer..... sad.gif

I would have bought them from you...

I did buy the TWM throttle bodies...nice stuff....my ears are still ringing from last night..I finaly got the 2.7 monster to light off...nothing like 3000 rpm and open exhaust at 8:00 pm to piss off the neighborhood laugh.gif

Hey Jake, can I call my motor "massIVe" inspired???

I did use one of your cams...

It still would have been cheaper to buy a motor from you though....I have had fun making the mistakes...its only money!!

later, herb
Jake Raby
Herb,
The cam isn't enough to make the engine considered "Jake-ized"....LOL

Like it makes a difference anyway!
Root_Werks
Jake, I checked out that link of yours on the FI. Dang man! That is a work of art! smilie_pokal.gif Very cool stuff. beerchug.gif

Jake, with these Jenvey Kits does the system still use the stock ECU of the 2.0?
I can't imagine what fun having a set up like yours would be much less how to use it unsure.gif but I would like to watch sometime. If I'm ever in the neighborhood can I give ya a call & stop in?

No...you need aftermarket FI.
These are just throttle bodies and are too big for stock FI.

Doesn't matter as long as they have the weber IDF bolt pattern.

The TB is just like a weber carb without the jets, float, etc.

But the tall manifold is most likely better for flow.
