Getting ready to pull apart the fuel intake today and was wondering about the re-assembly. Do the injectors need to go back into the cylinder from which it came or does it matter. Also, they will be out for 30 or more days, is there something I should do to them while they are out (cleaning)? I also noticed that they are attached to the hose with a clamp and nor crimped on. Does this mean they have either been replaced or the hoses changed? Thanks

i know a few people who replace them on NOS ones because the have dry rotted. i know i ripped 2 when dropping my engine the first time. so they might be replaced for a couple of reasons but it is no big deal either way.

Keep them clean and dry. Might be a good time to have them ultrasonically cleaned.
