You can do the usual. Yeah, change the oil and filter. Any $40 group 42 battery should work, but I would buy a $100 gelcel.
You know, I might get slammed for this one, but I usually just pop in a new battery, don't even change the fuel and crank them over until they fire off. Those 4cyl's are tough little engines and I swear (dam) 9 times out of 10, the fire off after cranking on them for a few seconds.
Check for fuel leaks while cranking.
You should hear a little buzz for a few seconds each time you turn the key to the ON position.
If it starts, try to keep it running for at least 10 minutes. ie - let it warm up a bit if you can.
